Send Cantata Pacifica your Video for Processing
Once you have your video recording finished, the next step will be to share it with Cantata Pacifica so they can start the editing process.
Do not email the video or drop box it, simply send your video via wetransfer.com. It is free and no account is needed.
Below, you'll find a quick walk-through of the process, and then a more detailed version after that. Please read as a far as you need to feel comfortable with the process. If you need any help, please contact us so we can address specific issues.
Here's the basic process, which I'll explain in more detail below:
1. Navigate via your internet browser on the device with the video to wetransfer.com
2. Click or tap on the + to add your video (on mobile, tap "Send a file" to get to this screen)
3. Enter David's e-mail address ([email protected])
4. Enter your e-mail address
5. Leave a message with your name
6. Click or tap “Transfer”, but stay on the webpage; you're not done yet!
7. Check your e-mail for the 6-digit code 8. Enter the code on the webpage, and click or tap "Verify"
9. Wait for the upload to finish 100%, and then you can close the browser

Depending on how you recorded your video, it might be on your computer, phone, or tablet. Whatever device, you'll want to use that same device to upload to WeTransfer. If you used any external devices, such as a microphone or webcam, the video should be stored on the device they were plugged into. If you used a stand-alone recording device, such as a camcorder, you'll need to transfer the file to a web-capable device. Most likely a computer would be the easiest to transfer.

Whatever you normally use to browse the internet should be fine. When you add the video, a file selection window will pop up. On mobile devices, such as phones and tablets, that will likely default to your photo and video gallery, so you can pick the one you want quickly. On laptops and desktops, you'll likely need to navigate to the folder where videos are saved. That can vary based on the type of computer you have, so you might have to dig a little bit. It would be helpful to locate where it is before you try to upload, so you know exact where you'll go. When you enter the e-mail addresses, be sure to double-check both yours and David's, so you can be sure they'll go where they need to. Please enter your name in the message window so we know exactly who is who without having to ask around. Some e-mail addresses are clear and obvious, but others may be tricky, and we want to be sure everyone can contribute!

- On mobile devices, the Message window comes up before the e-mails, so these last 2 steps will be reversed.
- Mobile also gives the option of "Get a Link”, but that's mainly for posting the link publicly, which we don't need. For what we're doing, “Send an email” will be more effective and secure. When We Transfer e-mails you the code, it should arrive very quickly; we've gotten them within a minute of clicking Transfer. That said, you may need to refresh your e-mail, and if it doesn't come through within a few minutes, you may need to check your Spam or Junk folders.
- Be sure the code is correct, otherwise the process won't continue. Entering the wrong code won't cancel the transfer, but it will delay it until you enter the correct code. When uploading, please keep the browser open until WeTransfer confirms that you've finished! Otherwise, we won't get your video. Feel free to open up another window or tab while the upload works, or even leave the computer and go somewhere else while it does the work.
- On mobile devices, you should be able to turn off the screen or go to another application without interrupting the transfer. But if you close the window or force stop the application, that will stop the transfer. Once you send the file successfully, you should get an e-mail from WeTransfer that tells you it was sent. You should receive a second e-mail when the file is downloaded.
